TotalEnergies Marketing Ethiopia S.C., a subsidiary of TotalEnergies operating in Ethiopia since 1950, is seeking a Junior Human Resources Officer to support HR operations, ensure compliance with labor laws and collective agreements, and contribute to employee welfare and development.


Position: Junior Human Resources Officer

Key Responsibilities

HR Administration & Employee Services

  • Maintain and update employee records (digital and hard copy).
  • Respond to employee inquiries on HR policies, procedures, and collective agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
  • Manage employment contracts, medical checks, police clearance, insurance, and ID cards.
  • Prepare employment support letters and manage staff requests.

Staff Welfare & Insurance

  • Coordinate staff insurance and medical matters, including renewals and updates.
  • Process medical payments, reimbursements, and provider payments.

Employee Lifecycle Management

  • Handle promotions, transfers, acting appointments, and terminations.
  • Oversee leave management and recruitment administration of contracted employees.

Payroll & Compensation

  • Prepare payroll inputs and process monthly payroll.
  • Ensure timely salary disbursement and accurate payroll reporting.
  • Manage employee loans and advances.

Qualifications

  • Education: BA in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or Management.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in HR administration.
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills.
    • Computer literacy; knowledge of finance for payroll administration is an advantage.
  • Language: Excellent written and spoken English.
