Position Overview

The Senior Statistics Assistant will support the Data Capability & Geospatial Knowledge Section (DCGKS), reporting to the Chief of DCGKS. The role focuses on:

  • Strengthening data systems and geospatial knowledge infrastructures.
  • Supporting analytics for evidence-based policymaking and monitoring.
  • Contributing to statistical production, dissemination, and harmonization efforts.

Requirements

  • Education: Completion of secondary education; additional training in statistics, data science, or IT is desirable.
  • Experience: At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in statistics, data management, or related fields.
  • Languages: Fluency in English required; knowledge of French desirable.
  • Skills:
    • Strong statistical and data management skills.
    • Experience with geospatial data and knowledge infrastructures.
    • Ability to support evidence-based policy analysis.
    • Proficiency in IT tools and statistical software.
