Position: Senior Supply Assistant (G7)
Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise the Shipping Unit’s daily operations.
- Coordinate import/export of official consignments and staff duty‑free shipments.
- Advise on shipping, insurance, and customs regulations in Ethiopia and internationally.
- Serve as IPSAS focal point, liaising with UNHQ on implementation issues.
- Oversee ERP‑SAP logistics processes for inbound/outbound goods.
- Prepare tender/bid documents, budget estimates, and weekly status reports.
- Supervise staff, provide training, and evaluate performance.
- Liaise with government ministries, airlines, and transport companies.
- Arrange documentation, permits, and insurance for shipments.
- Ensure compliance with UN rules, regulations, and financial procedures.

Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Degree in Business Administration, Supply Management, or Accounting desirable.
Experience
- At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in supply management, logistics, customs clearance, or insurance.
- Private sector experience in comparable institutions desirable.
Languages
- English required.
- French desirable.
