Job Summary

The Programme Associate supports the Spotlight Initiative Africa Regional Programme (SIARP 2.0) by providing operational, administrative, and programmatic support. The role contributes to research, financial management, programme implementation, and coordination with UN Women’s Africa regional offices, global teams, and sister UN agencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and logistical support to programme formulation and management
  • Support financial management, including budget revisions, monitoring, and reporting
  • Coordinate audits, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with UN Women rules
  • Organize meetings, workshops, events, and missions
  • Oversee travel arrangements and prepare briefing materials
  • Support resource mobilization and donor reporting
  • Facilitate knowledge building and training sessions

Qualifications

  • Completion of secondary education required; Bachelor’s degree in Business/Public Administration desirable
  • At least 7 years of progressively responsible experience in administration or programme management/support
  • Experience with ERP systems (preferably Oracle Cloud) desirable
  • Fluency in English required; knowledge of another UN language desirable

Job Summary

The Executive and Administrative Associate provides executive support to the UN Women Special Representative to the AU & UNECA and ensures smooth office operations. The role involves managing schedules, travel, meetings, procurement, HR processes, and external relations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage calendar, appointments, and travel logistics for the Special Representative
  • Organize meetings, prepare minutes, and follow up on action points
  • Support procurement, vendor management, and contract documentation
  • Provide HR support including recruitment coordination
  • Facilitate communication and information flow across units and partners
  • Maintain confidential files and ensure protocol compliance
  • Support external relations and high-level visits
  • Contribute to knowledge management and sharing

Qualifications

  • Completion of secondary education required; Bachelor’s degree in Business/Public Administration an asset
  • At least 6 years of progressively responsible experience in administration, secretarial, or programme support
  • Experience with international organizations (UN agencies preferred)
  • Strong IT skills and experience with ERP systems (preferably Oracle Cloud)
  • Fluency in English required; knowledge of another UN language desirable
