Available Positions

1. Intern – Climate Change, Food Security and Natural Resources

Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Key Responsibilities

  • Support climate change policy development and implementation initiatives.
  • Assist in developing and promoting climate response policies, plans, and programmes.
  • Contribute to preparations for the upcoming COP32 conference.
  • Support cross-cutting activities within the Climate Change, Food Security and Natural Resources Division.
  • Participate in research and other technical assignments as required.

Qualification Requirements

Applicants must meet one of the following requirements:

  • Be enrolled in or have completed a graduate degree programme (Master's degree or higher); or
  • Be enrolled in or have completed the final academic year of a Bachelor's degree programme or equivalent.

Additional Requirement

  • Successful candidates are expected to be present in Addis Ababa during the internship period.

2. ACS Intern – Data Analysis

Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate emerging data sources to address statistical data gaps.
  • Compile metadata from national and international statistical sources.
  • Support harmonization of African development indicators.
  • Assist in developing statistical and analytical tools.
  • Recommend modern data visualization methods.
  • Prepare statistical summaries, methodologies, and analytical reports.
  • Support statistical analysis, research, and economic data management.
  • Assist in dashboard development and data management activities.
  • Prepare technical documentation and background reports.
  • Support training and capacity-building activities.
  • Maintain standardized datasets and statistical records.

Qualification Requirements

Applicants must meet one of the following requirements:

  • Be enrolled in or have completed a graduate degree programme (Master's degree or higher); or
  • Be enrolled in or have completed the final academic year of a Bachelor's degree programme or equivalent.

Preferred Qualification

  • Completion of a Master's degree or current enrollment in a PhD programme in a development-related field is highly desirable.
