UNECA is offering two internship opportunities within the Publications & Conference Management Section (PCMS) under the Administration and Conference Management Division (ACMD). These internships provide hands‑on experience in sales & marketing, conference services, meeting coordination, and administrative support within a major UN regional office.

- Sales/Marketing Assistant Intern
- Meeting Services Assistant Intern
Both roles are full‑time (34 hours/week) and supervised by senior staff within PCMS.
1️⃣ Intern – Sales/Marketing Assistant

Key Responsibilities
- Draft promotional content for websites, email campaigns, brochures, flyers, and sales materials
- Conduct basic market research and update online information
- Maintain accurate records in sales/marketing databases
- Assist in planning outreach activities and promotional events
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide product/pricing information
- Support administrative tasks: order processing, invoicing, billing, shipping logistics
- Assist with data collection and basic reporting
- Perform other duties as assigned
2️⃣ Intern – Meeting Services Assistant

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing daily/weekly programmes for committees and conferences
- Prepare and organize official documentation in all six UN languages
- Inform relevant offices of programme changes
- Assist in preparing agenda lists, participant lists, and meeting materials
- Maintain speaker lists and attendance records
- Support voting and election processes (ballot distribution, collection, tabulation)
- Ensure meeting reports meet UN documentation standards
- Prepare seating plans and monthly meeting statistics
- Coordinate video/teleconference arrangements
- Maintain filing and reference systems
- Draft routine correspondence
- Assist with data collection, visualization, and updating web/brochure content
- Provide guidance to temporary assistants when required
🎓 Qualifications & Eligibility (for both internships)
Applicants must meet one of the following:
- Enrolled in a Master’s or PhD programme
- Enrolled in the final year of a Bachelor’s degree
- Completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD programme
Additional Requirements:
- Field of study relevant to the internship (marketing, communications, business, conference services, international relations, etc.)
- No professional experience required

🌍 Language Requirements

Fluency in spoken and written English is required
- Knowledge of another UN official language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish) is an advantage
