Key Responsibilities

The Junior IT Officer will support the company's IT infrastructure, systems, users, and security equipment. Responsibilities include:

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, printers, software, and other IT equipment.
• Provide technical support to employees and resolve hardware, software, network, and system-related issues.
• Monitor and maintain LAN/WAN networks, routers, switches, Wi-Fi, VPNs, and internet connectivity.
• Assist with database management, data organization, system updates, and performance monitoring.
• Implement IT security measures, manage user accounts and access permissions, and maintain antivirus software.
• Perform regular data backups and assist with data recovery and disaster recovery procedures.
• Install, test, and update operating systems, business applications, and database management systems.
• Monitor system performance, identify technical risks, and recommend improvements.
• Maintain IT asset inventories, technical documentation, and records of incidents and maintenance activities.
• Assist with IT system upgrades, capacity planning, and the implementation of new technologies.
• Guide employees on the proper use of IT systems, applications, and information security practices.
• Coordinate with relevant departments and external IT service providers to ensure effective technical support.
• Install, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot CCTV camera systems, recording devices, video storage, and network connectivity.
• Perform other related duties assigned by the immediate supervisor or management.

Qualifications and Requirements

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Alternatively, a relevant diploma with the required experience may be considered.
• Fresh graduates who have successfully passed the university exit examination are encouraged to apply.

Required Technical Competencies

• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, operating systems, and network administration.
• Familiarity with database management, data backup and recovery, and cybersecurity principles.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, support users effectively, and manage competing priorities.
• Professionalism, confidentiality, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.

Location Preference: Priority will be given to qualified applicants residing in or around Lebu, Mebrat, and the Garment areas of Addis Ababa.
