Position 1: IT Operations Officer (Head of DAS) — CST‑2

Job Purpose

Under the supervision of the Head of TEC, the IT Operations Officer leads the Digital Assistance Services (DAS) section and coordinates the digitalization of beneficiary management systems across Ethiopia. The role ensures effective use of technologies such as SCOPE and related systems to support programme implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate digitalization of WFP operations across the country.
  • Liaise with stakeholders (CBT/IDM, Activity Managers, Finance, Supply Chain) to gather business requirements.
  • Monitor implementations for compliance with corporate guidance.
  • Analyze requirements and propose solutions with budget estimates.
  • Coordinate technology‑related training and capacity building.
  • Oversee the local SCOPE Service Desk and operations support.
  • Participate in stakeholder meetings during planning and implementation.
  • Monitor SCOPE implementation and data quality.
  • Support feedback mechanisms with the CFM team.
  • Produce monthly DAS operational reports.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Advanced University Degree in Information Systems, IT, Computer Science, Data Science or related fields; OR First University Degree with additional relevant experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in technology implementation, humanitarian/development programme delivery, digital beneficiary management systems, data analysis and protection, and multi‑stakeholder coordination.
  • Desired: Hands‑on experience with SCOPE; experience in humanitarian/hardship contexts; experience supporting food assistance and cash‑based transfer programmes.
  • Language: Fluency in English (Level C).

Position 2: IT Operation Assistant (BSA) — G4

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Head of TEC, the IT Operation Assistant provides administrative support and contributes to digital solution development. The role supports TEC procurement, staff management processes, automation initiatives, and training activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather information to support drafting of documents and reports.
  • Respond to client queries and escalate as needed.
  • Manage routine administrative and financial tasks.
  • Handle TEC procurement activities.
  • Maintain systems and files for accurate information management.
  • Report data discrepancies and support data integrity.
  • Guide junior colleagues on routine tasks.
  • Collaborate with staff to improve process efficiency.
  • Maintain IT systems documentation and support testing.
  • Assist with IT installation, configuration, and support.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Completion of secondary school OR University degree in Information Systems, IT, Computer Science, Data Science or related fields.
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in administrative work and IT solutions development.
  • Language: Fluency in English (Level C).
