Available Positions

1. Operations Center Manager – Addis Ababa

  • Education: Master’s degree in Social Sciences or related fields; Police/Law Enforcement training preferred
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in security management (NGO, UN, government, or private sector); experience in high‑risk environments required
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Manage day‑to‑day operations of the National Office Operations Centre
    • Oversee staff safety systems, incident management, and journey coordination
    • Conduct security risk assessments and maintain risk ratings
    • Liaise with NGOs, government, and military stakeholders on security matters
    • Provide technical training and build staff security awareness
  • Skills: Strong coordination, networking, ICT/computer literacy, English & Amharic fluency

2. Gender Officer – Bahirdar

  • Education: BA in Sociology, Social Development, Business Management, Development Studies, or related fields
  • Experience: 2–3 years relevant experience, including at least 1 year in gender programming or peace‑building projects
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Conduct gender‑based conflict assessments and integrate gender issues into projects
    • Empower women and girls through community dialogues and inclusive processes
    • Provide technical support and training on GBV prevention and gender equality
    • Monitor and evaluate gender‑related project outcomes and report findings
    • Collaborate with government offices, NGOs, and community‑based organizations
  • Skills: Peace‑building expertise, English & Amharic proficiency, ability to work in fragile contexts

3. Development Officer – Goncha

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Education, Gender Studies, or related fields (Master’s preferred)
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in community development, child protection, education, or livelihood programs
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Lead implementation of Saving for Transformation (S4T), Empower World View, GEDSI, Child Protection, and Livelihood programs
    • Strengthen community‑based structures such as Child Protection & Advocacy Groups
    • Collaborate with government agencies, NGOs, and schools to improve child outcomes
    • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, document success stories, and advocate for policy changes
    • Conduct training sessions for community groups and stakeholders
  • Skills: Community development expertise, project management, monitoring & evaluation, English and local language proficiency
