Job Summary
The Programme Officer will support CBM Ethiopia’s Country Office in project development, partner capacity building, project coordination, monitoring & evaluation, reporting, compliance, and stakeholder engagement. This role is crucial in ensuring effective disability-inclusive development programming in Ethiopia.
Key Responsibilities

Project Development
- Develop project ideas, concept notes, log frames, proposals, and budgets.
- Identify and onboard partners aligned with CBM’s mission.
- Support partner assessments and address programmatic gaps.

Partner Capacity Building
- Conduct training and workshops for partners.
- Support bi-annual and annual review meetings.

Project Coordination & Quality Assurance
- Ensure timely implementation of partner activities.
- Manage budget and activity change requests.
- Provide guidance on project progress and compliance.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning
- Conduct monitoring visits and prepare reports.
- Support evaluations and dissemination of learnings.
- Document and share best practices internally and externally.

Reporting & Audit
- Review and finalize programmatic and financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with donor and CBM requirements.
- Follow up on audit recommendations.

Compliance & Risk Management
- Identify risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Ensure partners meet CBM’s compliance standards.

Project Administration
- Manage project data in ERP systems (PROMIS/NGO Online).
- Update forecasts, budgets, and reports.

Stakeholder Management
- Align internally with CBM teams.
- Represent CBM externally when delegated.
Qualifications

Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Project Management, International Development, or related field.

Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of project management experience in the I/NGO sector.

Key Skills:
- Project and program management (iPCM, log frame, monitoring tools).
- Budget management and financial accountability.
- Data analysis and forecasting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving and adaptability.
