About the Embassy
The French Embassy in Ethiopia, under the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, is recruiting a Steward (Technical Manager) to oversee property, logistics, and technical operations within the Embassy compound.
Position: Steward (Technical Manager)
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and monitor occupancy agreements for Embassy properties.
- Plan and manage maintenance and work projects within the diplomatic campus.
- Prepare work reports and collaborate on annual budget programs.
- Negotiate and update contracts related to real estate and maintenance.
- Monitor budgets for site maintenance and technical needs.
- Oversee “Green Embassy” action plan and occupational health/safety compliance (DUERP).
- Manage building operations, technical equipment, cleanliness, waste management, and office logistics.
- Ensure first‑level monitoring of hygiene, safety, and working conditions.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 5 years’ professional experience in technical/logistical fields.
- Relevant qualifications in property or technical management.
- Knowledge of local language (Amharic) is an asset.
- Familiarity with the region is beneficial.
- Required skills: awareness, expertise, interpersonal skills, technical tools.
- Language proficiency: Amharic (A2 – Intermediate), English (C1 – Autonomous).
