About the Program

HST Consulting PLC, through its Skill Academy and in partnership with FSD Ethiopia, invites applications for the Accounting Technician Training Program (ATTP). This national capacity‑building initiative aims to develop a skilled accounting workforce to support Ethiopia’s financial sector reforms and the emerging capital market.

The program is competency‑based and technology‑enabled, bridging the gap between academic learning and real‑world accounting practice. Successful participants may use the training as a pathway toward the Accounting Technician Qualification Ethiopia (ATQE) certification administered by the Ethiopian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (ETiCPA).


Program Objectives & Learning Approach

  • Strengthen foundational and intermediate accounting competencies.
  • Enhance compliance with Ethiopia’s evolving financial, tax, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Support transparency, efficiency, and accountability across institutions.

Learning Features:

  • Interactive online modules and practical exercises.
  • 24/7 self‑paced online learning.
  • Flexible applied learning to balance study with professional/personal commitments.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Have completed Grade 12 or higher education.
  • Be under 40 years of age.
  • Aspire to build a career in accounting, finance, or related fields.
  • Have access to reliable internet and a PC/tablet/smartphone.
  • Submit personal, educational, and professional background information with a motivation statement.

Note: Women and applicants from underserved regions are strongly encouraged to apply.


Selection Process

  • Online application submission.
  • Eligibility screening.
  • Competency review and/or entrance assessment.
  • Final shortlisting and selection.

Selection is based on merit, motivation, educational background, relevant experience, and commitment to complete all 12 courses within one year. The program aims for 50% women’s participation.
