In Ethiopia, IIRR collaborates with PCPM and the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the project “Support to development of emergency and disaster response services in Ethiopia.”


Role Overview

The Accountant will manage financial processes for PCPM‑related projects, ensuring compliance with IIRR policies and donor requirements. The role includes budgeting, financial reporting, expenditure monitoring, and audit support to maintain accountability and transparency.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records for PCPM projects.
  • Prepare and monitor budgets and forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational and donor regulations.
  • Process payments, reconciliations, and financial reports.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to program teams.
  • Coordinate with project staff for financial planning and utilization.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant project accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of financial management and reporting.
  • Experience with donor‑funded projects is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office.
  • High integrity, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
