Mines Advisory Group (MAG) is an international humanitarian organization headquartered in Manchester, UK, operating in 32 countries worldwide. MAG removes landmines and unexploded ordnance, enabling communities to safely use land and reducing the threat of armed violence by supporting governments in managing weapons and ammunition.
MAG was a co‑recipient of the 1997 Nobel Peace Prize for its role in campaigning for the Anti‑Personnel Mine Ban Convention. In Ethiopia, MAG is establishing a country office to respond to explosive ordnance contamination, initially focusing on Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) and capacity support to national actors, with plans to expand into survey and clearance operations.
The Information Management Officer (IMO) will provide day‑to‑day support to MAG Ethiopia’s operational teams throughout the information management lifecycle. The role involves data collection, quality assurance, analysis, mapping, and reporting, working closely with field teams, operational managers, and MAG’s HQ Programme Information Management Unit (PIMU).
