Role Overview

The Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) Coordinator will provide comprehensive support to all awards implemented through the Bale Field Office. The role ensures that MEAL systems—including PRIME—are established, maintained, and strengthened to deliver high‑quality programs and accountability to beneficiaries, partners, and donors.


Key Responsibilities

  • MEAL System Rollout: Develop and implement MEAL work plans at program and field office levels.
  • Technical Support: Provide guidance to program staff on M&E plans, tools, and methodologies.
  • Data Management: Ensure timely collection, collation, and reporting of monitoring data.
  • Capacity Building: Train and mentor staff and partners on MEAL tools and accountability practices.
  • Accountability Mechanisms: Implement complaints response systems and safeguard against abuse, exploitation, and corruption.
  • Learning & Reporting: Produce best practices, case studies, and lessons learned for program improvement.
  • PRIME System: Lead adoption and daily use of PRIME for project planning, tracking, and performance monitoring.

Qualifications

  • BA Degree in MEAL, Statistics, Development Studies, or related fields.
  • Minimum 5 years of MEAL experience, preferably with INGOs in both development and emergency contexts.
  • Strong knowledge of donor compliance requirements and MEAL frameworks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis software.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
