The MFGPD supports African member states in inclusive economic transformation through strengthened development planning, macroeconomic analysis, and governance.
Position Overview
The internship is located in the Sustainable Development & Integrated Planning Section (SDIPS). Interns will work under the supervision of the Section Chief and contribute to research, analysis, and operational support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research topics on sustainable economic development, urban planning, governance, and poverty reduction.
- Provide inputs to publications, papers, and documents.
- Liaise with stakeholders and support meetings/events.
- Assist with outreach activities and day-to-day operational tasks.
- Perform administrative tasks as assigned.
Requirements

Education: Enrolled in or completed a graduate program, or final year of a bachelor’s degree.

Experience: No prior work experience required. Training, coursework, or skills should benefit the UN.

Skills:
- Computer literacy in standard applications.
- Strong interest in UN work and commitment to its Charter.
- Ability to interact with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Languages: Fluency in English required; French is an advantage.
