Position: Training and Development Manager
Role Summary
The Training and Development Manager is a strategic role responsible for designing, developing, and facilitating training programs across Water for Good’s global operations. This position supports employee growth, enhances organizational learning, and fosters a culture of continuous development.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver training programs aligned with organizational goals
- Facilitate engaging sessions via classroom, virtual, and workshops
- Evaluate training effectiveness and update materials accordingly
- Track training attendance, completion rates, and overdue sessions
- Partner with HR teams to implement employee development initiatives
- Support supervisors in career development conversations with staff
- Champion strengths‑based employee growth and engagement
- Provide guidance on performance evaluations and HR programs
- Travel to program areas (20–30%) to deliver in‑person training
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Communication, Education, or related field
- 5+ years of adult learning and training content development experience
- Fluent in English and French (written and spoken)
- Strong presentation, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience with multimedia training platforms and methods
- Legally eligible to work in Ethiopia (no sponsorship provided)
Preferred
- Master’s degree in HR, Business, Non‑Profit Leadership, Education, or related field
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., Asana)
